| | "Suck out" (as it relates to poker): To win a hand by virtue of hitting a very weak draw, often with poor pot
odds. |
I play poker occasionally (ok, ok... it's my second job) at a local
card house called Lucky Chances. There's one older guy who
practically lives there (as he always says, he's "got more money than
time".) The guy is full of random quips which are generally quite
comical and amusing, but something he said last night had me
rolling. Someone asked the guy how old he was, and after a bit of
conversation, he says... "Every morning i wake up, I've sucked
out". Maybe this is funnier in the moment, or maybe you have to
know the guy or hear the delivery to see the humor in it, but i found
it absolutely hilarious, yet sad at the same time.

| | | Do you ever sit and wonder what your true calling in life is? I
do... I like to think my true calling in life was to be a head of
cabbage - that way i can feel like i've truly surpassed expectations. |
